The MLA (Modern Language Association) 8th edition, updated in 2016, gives step by step advice on every aspect of writing papers. We have several copies of this book at the reference desk under ( LB 2369 G53 2016 ). This new edition covers elements common to all works such as author, title, publisher etc. In this guide each element is assigned a color  and number to give you a visual on how to create your citation. Follow the numbered steps in the color coded guide when citing a book, a newspaper, magazine or  database journal article, or a piece of art work and any other type of publication.
