FYE: Evaluating and Finding Reliable Resources (Module 3): Home

Welcome

We are fortunate to live in a world where so much information is readily available to us. However, easy accessibility doesn't always make it the best resources. Reliability and relevance to our individual purposes can vary.

In this module, you will learn

  • How to evaluate information,
  • The differences between information found through Google (and the internet) vs. information found through library databases.
  • How to locate credible sources.

Watch the provided video demos AND navigate through the guide using the tabs at top.

What do we mean by reliable and credible information?

Reliable information is accurate and dependable, often backed by solid evidence and consistent across different sources.

Credible information comes from trusted sources, such as experts or well-known organizations, and is known for being accurate and unbiased.
