Library Display: 2015 - November - Architect & Creative Dualities

Introduction

Architect & …

Creative Dualities

Designed and executed by guest curator, Professor Craig Weber, the exhibit features the work of architects who also excelled in other fields.

Professor Weber has been the faculty advisor to the QCC Architecture Club for many years.  Club members enjoy field trips, important speakers and informative videos. Field trips have included the Guggenheim Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, day trips to Philip Johnson’s famous Glass House in New Canaan and Yale University in New Haven, as well as an overnight trip to Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Falling Water” house in Pennsylvania.  Speakers have included Dr. William Clark, foremost authority on French gothic architecture.

Meetings are Wednesdays 12:00 to 2:00 in Room M-146 (first floor of the medical arts building.)   Everyone is welcome.

We hope that the entire QCC Community will enjoy our exciting new display, located in three glass cases directly in front of the Library entrance.  And while you’re here, take advantage of the two for one book sale, free books, and the broad range of new books that may be borrowed.

We want to express our appreciation to Professor Weber for the visual enhancement and educational enrichment that this project has given to the Library. And we continue to be very grateful to Lawrence Chan, Senior College Lab Technician, for his professional photography.
