Use this multidisciplinary database to find articles on the historical figure you are researching. Remember to use quotes around the name, so the results will include both names next to each other.

MasterFILE Complete (EBSCO)
Search a large collection of popular full-text magazines, reference books and other highly-regarded sources covering virtually every general interest subject area including an extensive collection of photos, maps and flags.

This database allows limitations to :

New York Times - Historical Newspapers (1851-2014 / Searchable Database)
Provides users with the ability to restrict search results to different portions of the newspaper (articles, advertisements, cartoons, etc.).

Choose Advanced Search
Select the portion of the newspaper. In this example I have selected Article
Type in the name of the person in the search box
Surround the name with quotation marks to keep the two names together in the results page

Oxford Reference Online
Offers subject search options such as Encyclopedias, History, and Quotations.
Proquest Ebook Central
Salem Press History ebooks
Includes the complete content of reference books as The Decades American Series, Great Lives from History, Historical Encyclopedia of American Business, Weapons and Warfare, and American Immigration.
