The Customizable Library: What We Could Be Doing

We* could:

• Embed a customized librarian welcome video and library services intro video in BlackBoard;

• Require students to interact with a customized Library website and complete embedded exercises and assessments;

• Create (or borrow) video and "guide on the side" tutorials customized to a syllabus, assignment, or
  learning outcome;

• Add Librarian as Teaching Assistant or Guest to BlackBoard course site to encourage more interaction;

• Hold online librarian office hours;

• Create a research discussion board (monitored by a librarian) in BlackBoard for students to get feedback on research questions, snafus, tips, tricks, and strategies;

• Use BlackBoard badges (coming soon-ish) for information literacy competency to students (after completion of exercises and assessments).
