FYE: Using the Library Website to Find Sources (Module 2): About OneSearch

OneSearch Introduction

Why Use OneSearch?

OneSearch simplifies library research by letting you search through many resources all at once using just one search box. It's a convenient way to start your research journey!

Use OneSearch if you:

  • are looking for a specific title, whether an article or a book,

  • are looking for your textbook (try entering the title and the author's last name.  For example: intermediate algebra blitzer),

  • want a combination of books, articles, eBooks, etc. on a topic,

  • you want to do a massive, multidisciplinary search, or

  • are just starting your research.

By searching through the majority of the databases and QCC's resources, OneSearch allows you to cast a wide net to gather results for your research needs.

Where is OneSearch?

OneSearch is found on the library’s homepage.

One way to find the library homepage is to go to the the main page of QCC

(Note: on a PC, the link to the library will be located on the top of the page. On your phone, the link is located in the drop down menu on the upper right).

Students can also download the QCC Connect app and find a tile for the library.
