Library Home: Find the Name of Your Textbook

If you do not have your syllabus with you, the first place to check is the Blackboard course site. If there's no BlackBoard course site available or the syllabus isn't posted there, try these other sources:

Check the QCC Bookstore's website.

Check your CUNYFirst account (look at your schedule; click on the section number of the course to get the textbook name; you may need to scroll down).

Use the Class Schedule

1. Use the drop down menus to specify the:
   • Institution (Queensborough CC)
   • Term (i.e., Spring 2012)
   • Course Subject
2. Make sure the box next to Show Open Classes Only is NOT checked
3. Click on Additional Search Criteria and fill in at least one of these:Click Search
   • Course number
   • Days (it is best to select 'any of these days')
   • Time of start and/or end of class
   • Instructor
   • Course title keyword
4. Scroll down to find the section
5. Click on the section number to get the textbook information, which will appear toward the bottom of the screen. 

Make sure to write down the title and author of the book.
